We had a break-in the other night, and it was scary too. There was a little damage done but it could have been worse. He (or she) came in the middle of the night when no one had an eyebrow raised and then used the tools of the trade to gain entry.
Doesn’t it really “hack” you off when someone decides to have fun by taking liberties with property belonging to someone else. Especially when the someone else is you. Oh well. Speaking of “hack,” that is exactly what happened here in the home residence of Kerens.Com.

Once upon a time a few years ago I was sitting in my office at home tinkering around with a new piece of software I had brought home from work. It was a new release from Microsoft titled “FrontPage” designed specifically to allow people to design their own web sites. Microsoft was late to the game getting into the Internet arena because a young upstart company had beaten them to the punch. A company by the name of “Netscape” founded by a person with a new vision for the future of communication via the Internet. Marc Andreessen was the founder with help from anther entrepreneur by the name of James Clark.

Foxtales: The Foolish Foxter and her Big Red Can

Column by Sandra Simmons Fox
Due to the state of my health…and or mind, I’ve been having what I admit must be "Writers Block". Gee, I hated to admit that! I always pride myself in never having that problem. See what happens when you brag? LOL.
I decided that if I was to submit a story, or journal entry, I would just have to pretend to be writing to my Aunt Agnes; someone who really dotes on my family tales. I figure, since she’s "an imaginary aunt" to epitomize all loving aunts everywhere, I’d be allowed to suggest that she was the doting kind.

Tribune Columns: Kerens.Com #109 Easter Sunday at the Alumni Center April 1st, 2002
|
|
All the folks outside of Kerens missed a great Easter Sunday in downtown Kerens at the Alumni Center. Cars were parked up and down Main Street, people were walking around on the sidewalks, and all kinds of gossip was floating around within the walls of this Community facility.
When the two hundred plus people walked in the double door entryway to this extravaganza, the first thing you would notice is multi-colored hanging globes from the ceiling presenting a first taste of bright Easter decorations. Ottis Ray Spurlock in his Sunday Easter suit was seated at the ticket collection booth greeting everyone along with Linda Selph wearing her pastel blue Easter dress. People started trickling in at 11:30 and by noontime there was a line stretching back out the door as the smell of cooking food drifted out onto the bricks commemorating Kerens past.
