Ernie C. Stamey was born on July 31, 1954 in Greenville, SC. He was a Veteran. He worked for Guardian Glass for the last 27 years.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Emma Buchanan and dad, Paul Buchanan.

Pallbearers were Loyd Cook, Johnny Hobbs, Bobby Boucher, Sammye Hobbs, Matthew Adams and Drew Walker.

William E. “Snookie” Abbe, 72, of Trinidad passed away January 18, 2006. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 21, 2006 at the Mankin Assembly of God Church in Trinidad. Burial was at Trinidad Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff. Pallbearers were Lucas Abbe, Willie Jock, Rodney Prnka, Justin Prnka, Ricky Pogue and Marvin Sanders.
Mr. Abbe was born May 20, 1933 in Kerens to Farris and Bertie Abbe. He served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1961 and prior to retirement he had worked for Henderson County Precinct #1 as a heavy equipment operator.

Melba “Joyce” Norris, 65, passed away on January 18, 2006. Funeral services were held on January 22, 2006 at the Paschal Funeral Home in Kerens, TX. Her brother-in-law, Audrain Hardin officiated the services.
She was born on December 2, 1940 in Kerens, TX. Joyce was married to James Norris for 48 years. She spent most of her life in Trinidad where she raised her children and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

There was a mad scientist (a mad... social... scientist) who kidnapped
three colleagues, an engineer, a physicist, and a mathematician, and locked
each of them in seperate cells with plenty of canned food and water but no
can opener.
A month later, returning, the mad scientist went to the engineer's
cell and found it long empty. The engineer had constructed a can opener from
pocket trash, used aluminum shavings and dried sugar to make an explosive,
and escaped.
The physicist had worked out the angle necessary to knock the lids
off the tin cans by throwing them against the wall. She was developing a good
pitching arm and a new quantum theory.
The mathematician had stacked the unopened cans into a surprising
solution to the kissing problem; his dessicated corpse was propped calmly
against a wall, and this was inscribed on the floor:
Theorem: If I can't open these cans, I'll die.
Proof: assume the opposite...
