randallh writes "They have just started to put in the Christmas lights in Community Park here in Corsicana. If you have a chance over the next few weeks when the Christmas lights are on, come drive thru the park and take a look. It is very beautiful at night. I'm sure the Corsicana Christmas Parade is not too far off."

randallh writes "I'm sure hoping that in the future Corsicana will see a new bypass around town. It sure would help the traffic flow. Also that intersection and street has seen numerous accidents. I'm hoping the State of Texas will start soon on this project. It is badly needed."

randallh writes "The Corsicana Tigers playoff game will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Texas Stadium in Irving, Texas. This game will be the regional semifinal game. The game will be carried on local Corsicana radio station KAND 1340 am. If you can't attend the game in person the local radio station will carry the play by play action. It should be a great game. Go Tigers."

randallh writes "Three new restaurants and hotels may be going up soon across from the Central Texas Marketplace in Waco, Texas. The three hotels and restaurants have signed letters of intent. The new shopping center in Waco is bringing in new businesses. There will be a new shopping complex across from the Central Texas Maketplace called The Legends Retail Complex on Loop 340 which is Highway 6. It's not too far from Interstate 35 in Waco, Texas."

randallh writes "The Corsicana Tigers won over the Brownwood Lions on a rain soaked Waco ISD Stadium football field. The final score was Corsicana Tigers 38 & Brownwood Lions 21. Corsicana will next play Dallas Lincoln at Texas Stadium in Irving, Texas. This will be the third round playoff game in the state playoffs. How about those Corsicana Tigers."

randallh writes "In the future there will be a new Holiday Inn Express Motel and Medical Arts will have a new clinic on Highway 287. Collins Street Bakery will be having a new retail store on that highway in the near future. I hope to see more retail out there since Home Depot and Gander Mountain located out there."

Business: K-Mart And Sears Joining Forces

randallh writes "I just heard on the news that former bankrupt retailer K-Mart and Sears are joining forces to merge the two companies March of 2005. I guess they are doing this to compete with Walmart and Target. Walmart being the largest retailer in the U.S. Target stores coming in a close second. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens?"

randallh writes "The Corsicana High School Tigers will next play the Brownwood Lions at Waco, Texas at Waco's ISD football stadium Saturday night with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. It should be a good game for both teams. Only one will come away a winner and advance further in the playoffs. To get to the Waco ISD stadium, take the Bagby Avenue exit from Loop 340 Highway 6. The stadium is located at 1401 South New Road."

randallh writes "At Gunbarrel, Texas on Cedar Creek Lake there will be in the future a new residential retail marina complex. Also at Mabank, Texas there will be a new subdivision called the Ranch on Cedar Creek Lake. That area is a fast growing place. There should also be more retail in that area in the not too distant future."

randallh writes "At Ennis Lions Stadium this Thursday night, the Tigers defeated the Seagoville Dragons 42 to 7. The Corsicana Tigers will next play the winner of Saturday's football game between Brownwood and Midlothian. Way to go Corsicana. Go all the way to the State Football Playoffs."

randallh writes "Friday night at Tiger Field the Corsicana HIgh School Tigers beat their longtime foe, the Ennis Lions, 30 to 26. The Tigers will play Seagoville this Thursday night at Lions Stadium in Ennis, Texas. The football stadium is located on the Highway 287 bypass in Ennis. Hopefully the Tigers will go all the way. This is one Tiger fan glad to see our local team in the playoffs. Way to go guys."

randallh writes "On the 132 acre retail project, Collin Street Bakery will open a new Collin Street Bakery retail store not far away from Gander Mountain and Home Depot. They are located out on Highway 45 by Highway 287 behind the Sonic Drive-In restaurant. There will be a new Holiday Inn Express motel. Out in front of the Corsicana Super Walmart where the new building stands, one of the new businessess will be a Rentacenter Rent To Own. I have not heard what else is going in out there?"

Business: New Best Buy Opens At New Shopping Center

randallh writes "Over in Waco, Texas this friday morning the new Best Buy consumer electronics store opens in their new location. They have moved from their old location on Waco Drive near Richland Mall. The new Best Buy store will be much larger then the old store and they will be able to better serve their customers. That new Central Texas Market Place is filling up with new stores. More are on the way. A Books A Millon bookstore will locate there in the spring."

Business: New CVS Distrubution Center Opens in Ennis, Texas

randallh writes "The new CVS pharmacy distribution center has opened in Ennis, Texas. There was a ribbon cutting at the new plant. Joe Barton, Ellis County senator, was there and so was the mayor of Ennis along with Rick Hubbard the plant manager. The CVS distribution center is over 380,000 thousand square feet. It will employ over 250 workers and will supply 400 CVS pharmacy stores in Texas and the Greater Southwest."

randallh writes "Construction is underway for a new Guaranty Bank in Ennis, Texas. The new bank, when it is complete and open, will be located at the corner of Ennis Avenue & Jeter."
