Mrs. Belle Barron, 95, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2005 in Corsicana. Services were held Monday, October 17, 2005 at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Alexander officiating. Burial was at Resthavan Memorial Park in Corsicana.
Mrs. Barron was born August 23, 1910 in Brown County, TX. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in deather by her husband of 60 years, Dr. R. Lano Barron.

Michael E. Wilson, 61, passed away September 25, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2005 at Corley Funeral Chapel in Corsicana with Brother Vernon McGuyer officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, September 30, 2005 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Corley Funeral Home.
Mr. Wilson was born March 1, 1944 in Corsicana, Texas. He was employed by Collin Street Bakery as a computer programmer.

Mary Nell Cherry, 91, passed away on September 12, 2005, at the Heritage Oaks West Nursing Home in Corsicana, Texas. Services were held on September 14, 2005, at the Kerens First Baptist Church with Rev. Royce Measures officiating and Rev. Wes Johnson assisting. Burial was held at the Prairie Point Cemetery. Pallbearers were Norton Conner, Buster Atkeisson, Robbie Griffin, Dick Rea, Marvin Henderson and Terry Kelm. Honorary Pallbearers were Jerry Shelton, Don Baxter, Billy Shelton, Jimmy Tyner and Harold Tyner.

Bernice Pickens Sprinkle, 87, of Corsicana, TX, passed away September 21, 2005 in Lewisville, TX.
Funeral services were held September 23, 2005 at the First Christian Church with Rev. Mark Luera officiating. Burial was held at the Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery.
Mrs. Sprinkle was preceded in death by her husband, Chester O. Sprinkle.
She is Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Byron Wells of Flower Mound, TX; son, David Sprinkle of Dallas, TX; and a granddaughter and her husband, Jennifer and John Clay of Lewisville, TX.

Pauline Gawlik, 66, of Malakoff, passed away on Sunday, August 28, in Athens after a lengthy illness.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, August 31, Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church by Father Anthony McLaughlin.
Burial was in the Malakoff Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home of Malakoff.

Virgil Lee Graves, 83, of Las Cruces and formerly of Simla, CO, passed away October 8, 2005. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Kerens, TX.
Mr. Graves was born June 15, 1922 in Kerens, TX. He served his country honorably in the US Army Air Corp and was an avid horseman. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends who knew loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Zella Graves.

Robert E. “Chill” Childers, 81, passed away June 19, 2005 in San Antonio, Texas. Funeral was held on June 22, 2005 at Mission Burial Park South with the Rev. Dennis Thompson officiating.
Robert Childers was born October 18, 1923 to Flave and Cora Childers in Kerens, Texas. He served as a paratrooper in the US Army during WWII. He married his beloved Merlene Alice Arhelger over 53 years ago in Fredericksburg, Texas.
Mr. Childers is survived by his wife, Merlene; daughter, Carol Childers Patterson; grandson, Lance Patterson; and sisters-in-law, Lois Childers and Ruby Childers.

Ludy Watson passed away October 9, 2005 at her home in Corsicana, TX after waging a long battle with lung cancer. Graveside services were held October 12, 2005 at Oakwood Cemetery with Bro. Bill Honea officiating.
Mrs. Watson was a nursing assistant for the Corsicana Nursing Home. She enjoyed her hobby doing woodcrafts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy Baxter and Anna Lee Ledwell; her son, Baxter Lee Watson; her brother and sister-in-law, Baxter and Lucille Ledwell and brother-in-law, Marion Collins.

PastorThom writes "Vicki Alonzo , 52, passed away after a brief illness at her home in Kerens, Texas on Monday, March 17, 2008. She was a 1973 graduate of Kerens High School. She pursued a higher education in the medical profession in San Antonio, Texas.
Visitation will be held at the Chapel at Paschal’s Funeral Home in Kerens Wednesday March 19, 2008 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Her celebration of life service will be held Thursday morning, 10:00 AM in the Chapel at Paschal Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Layfield Family plot in the Kerens City Cemetery. Officiates will be Brethrens James Ledbetter, Harold Scott and Thom Layfield."

Wes Johnson officiating. Burial was at the Kerens Cemetery. Pallbearers were Billy Ray Quinn, David Ray Quinn, Joe Graves, Chris Quinn, Melvin Colvin, Kyle Glicksman and Larry Fields. Honorary Pallbearers were George Quinn and Grady Quinn.
