This yearly event honors Corsicana's oil rich history. There is a lot of fun going on downtown Corsicana on Saturday, April 24th."

randyghughes21 writes "Yesterday morning ground was broken for the new eight screen Cinergy Cinema complex which hopefully will be open in June of this Summer. Mayor Buster Brown, Chamber of Commerce, Paul Hooper, Byron Cook, and Congressman Joe Barton from Ellis county were among the many people to break ground for this new entertainment complex. It will be next to Home Depot and Gander Mountain in Corsicana Crossing. Jeffrey Benson of Cinergy Cinemas explained they hope to add on three more screens in the future. This will be great for Corsicana and Navarro county. "

randyghughes21 writes "It was good news last week when I read a new eight screen cinema with stadium seating and digital sound would be opening later this summer. Cinergy Cinemas will break ground January 6th, 2010 next to Home Depot and Gander Mountain. The new complex should be open by late June. Hopefully more good news should come Corsicana's way in this new year of 2010. it will be welcomed."

randyghughes21 writes "As you have been out to the Collin Street Bakery on Highway 287 in Corsicana and the Waco location in Bellmead, there will be a third Collin Street Bakery in deep East Texas in the town of Lindale, Texas which is near Hideaway Lake. The new bakery retail store should be open somtime in the new year of 2010. In the words of a famous female blond celeb thats hot, that is great news for that region of East Texas."

randyghughes21 writes "In Hewitt, Texas which is a suburb of Waco, Texas there is a really nice HEB plus grocery store. It not only has the current food & grocery items, but also has some special departments. You can listen to a music cd before you buy it or purchase a digital flatscreen television. It also has other special services that other HEB stores don't carry. The store is very large and roomy. I wish sometime in the future that Corsicana might get one of these fine stores in our community."

randyghughes21 writes "This Past Saturday, April 25th, my mom and I went to her school reunion. It was very fun. Mom got to meet some of her friends she had not seen in over a year.
Gholson is a wonderful Community just north of Waco, Texas. There was good food and fellowship with her friends. I also visited the school gym where my mom played on the girls basketball team. Gholson has also won many basketball trophys. Both the girl's basketball teams have won in playoffs and so have the boy's team as well. It was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon."

rrandyghughes writes "If you ever go on a Sunday drive. visit Richland Chambers Lake, one of the most beautiful lakes in Navarro County. It is the third largest lake in the state of Texas. Many people call it home. We are very lucky to have this beautiful lake in our backyard so to speak. It has many nice eating places around the lake. It is also a nice place for a family to live. "

rrandyghughes writes "Well, it's that time of year when the State Fair of Texas Kicks off in Dallas. Big Tex will be wearing a bright yellow shirt with new bluejeans. If you remember, Big Tex for so many years greeted Christmas visitors to the nice town of Kerens, Texas. He was a very tall Santa Claus. He now is a part of the State Fair of Texas in Fair Park in dallas. The State Fair starts up September 26th. I can smell those Fletcher corny dogs now and the tasty turkey legs."

rrandyghughes writes "In November, the cast of the well loved "Dallas" TV Series will return to greet their fans of the TV show. It will take place at the Southfork Ranch in Parker, Texas where the Dallas TV Show was filmed. It all happens November the 8th. Tickets have already been sold to this event. What a wonderful show. I once visited this famous ranch in North Texas. This TV show ran for several seasons.

(WACO)— The TSTC Waco Student Government Association’s program “Autism in Action” continues on Saturday, March 29, at Navarro College in Corsicana.
"Autism in Action" is a program promoting autism awareness. Started by the Student Government Association (SGA) of Texas State Technical College Waco, its focus is on helping autistic children in Region 12's educational service area create original artwork, which will be auctioned to raise money for local and national autism awareness organizations."
