Before the year 1000, the word "she" did not exist in the English language. The singular female reference was the word "heo", which also was the plural of all genders. The word "she" appeared only in the 12th century, about 400 years after English began to take form. "She" probably derived from the Old English feminine "seo", the Viking word for feminine reference

Local News: New To The Area

southerncrossranch writes "My wife and I moved to this area just a month ago from Dallas. We bought 12 acres off of Hwy 309 and 4110. We get to look out my windows every day at beautiful fields and cattle and horses grazing in the pastures of my nearest neighbors. In the evenings we get to watch the sun go down from our kitchen window. In the short time we have been here we have watched storms roll in and knock out electricty. We helped remove trees off the roads so others could get by. We were with out electricity for 18 hours, but I would not trade what we have gained. "
