randallh writes "At the Ennis, Texas city planning and zoning meeting a new Walgreens retail drugstore is planned for Ennis, Texas. So is a new International House of Pancakes restaurant. That is great news for that community."

randallh writes "I hear that the new Gander Mountain outdoor store will open August 20th or 22nd. It is located behind the Russell Stover candy company on the 132 acre retail project. There should be a big turnout for the new flagship store here. I know I will be looking forward to the grand opening. See you there."

billr writes "Well, the new plant in Ennis is Koyo Steering Systems of North America. Making steering systems for Honda, Mitsubishi, Subaru, GM, and Saturn. The plant will be inside 40 acres in the Ennis Industrial Park. Koyo is a subsidary of Koyo Seiko Company of Osaka, Japan. Ennis was picked over seventeen other sites and should be in production in the first quarter of 2006. Annual payroll should be about 30 million for 200 employees."

randallh writes "The new Huddle House Restaurant in Gunbarrel, Texas on Cedar Creek Lake will open Tuesday, August 17th. It will employ 60 people. The 40 year old chain restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. That's fantastic for Cedar Creek Lake. Quite a growing area."

randallh writes "Well a new Japanese steering wheel plant will locate in Ennis, Texas. The new plant will employ 200 people and pay them ten to eleven dollars an hour. The new plant should be in operation in the fall of 2005. It will be a 30 millon dollar plant. They will make parts not only for Toyota but other car companys. Ennis is really growing."

billr writes "Word is out in Ennis that Governor Rick Perry will address the Chamber of Commerce this week about Toyota's plans to build an assembly plant just off the 287 loop. From what preliminary reports say, Toyota will employ about 500-600 employees when in production, which will give Ennis another big boost. Toyota had planned building the plant somewhere else but settled on Ennis because of the location, labor availability and tax reasons."

The new Chilis manager comes from Lewisville, Texas. I'm sure the baby back ribs are great and it is not too far away. That's great for Cedar Creek Lake."

That lake area is really growing should be fun to watch."

randyh writes "Last night, June 30th, I went to the soft opening of the new Home Depot store. It is located on the 132 acre retail project at Highway 287 and Highway 45. It is a fantastic store. A big crowd was on hand for the opening. Corsicana mayor Buster Brown was there to cut a board to open the store. Also Corsicana Navarro County Chamber VP Daryl Schliem was there too. It will be great for our area."

randallh writes "I have heard that the new Corsicana Home Depot store on the 132 acre retail project at Highway 45 and Highway 287 will have a soft opening June 30th. The new stores grand opening will be around July 1st. Gander Mountain, the outdoors retailer, should open late this summer."

randyh writes "I drove by the Corsicana Walmart Supercenter and on land fronting the local Walmart superstore they were doing dirt work for a new business. It could be retail or restaurants. Also up the street on the old Tx Dot land Mike Karnes will be building a new retail center with new shops and restaurants. "

randyh writes "In Corsicana this late summer we will see the opening of the Home Depot improvement store. It will be located on Highway 45 just above the local Outlet Mall and then Gander Mountain will open this Fall. They are an outdoor hunting and fishing retail store. I have heard several more big box retailers will be located out there along with some major restaurants."
