randallh writes "Yesterday I saw that HEB Grocery was doing some work on the store. I have heard that the front of the store could be the business section for the store. Out in the handicapped parking lot they were digging up the handicapped parking places. I guess to make them better. I wish HEB had built a HEB plus like they did in Hewitt, Texas which is a community near Waco, Texas. The new store in Hewitt has much more room to move around in."

randallh writes "There will be a 160 unit apartment complex along with retail stores that the city of Ennis, Texas gave a final ok on. That is good news for that part of Ellis County."

That will help Gunbarrel, Texas and Seven Points tax base. Also a new luxury hotel. That area should see more growth over the next few years."

randallh writes "In the town of Waxahachie, Texas they will be getting a new Target store, possibly a Super Target. Along with that they will be getting a new Lowes home improvement store and a Belks department store that is similar to Foleys or Dillards. Plus they will be getting several major restaurants. That area of Ellis County is really growing."

randallh writes "There may be more new retail for the Cedar Creek Lake area with a proposed hotel and shopping mall going up in Seven Points, Texas. That would help that city's tax base. I see more for that area in the very near future."

randallh writes "Out on West Highway 31 where the old Texas Deparment of Transportation used to sit, the old buildings are being torn down to make way for new shops, restaurants, and possibly a new Cinema with stadium seating. Hopefully i will know more soon."

randallh writes "The Main Place Cinema at Seven Points, Texas on Cedar Creek Lake has a website. It's www.main place cinema.com. It lists the times for the movies showing and it has a map on how to get to the cinema. And with them upgrading of the cinema, it will be worth a trip."

randallh writes "There will be a new self service gas station at the Corsicana Brookshires Grocery Store. The store has been renovated and they have just started work on the new gas station which is behind the current Brookshires store on North 13th. That will be good for Brookshires customers. I'm glad they are here. As you know, Brookshires opened the new Ole Grocery Store on 15th street a week ago. Both are great stores for this area."

randallh writes "Corsicana hopefully will get a new company that will include 500 new jobs and include a 12 millon dollar payroll. Corsicana is in the running along with a few other Texas cities. It would be great if they choose here."

I have heard about two big box major retailers for that site. I'm hopeing to hear more soon. Should be fun to watch. That area is really growing."

randallh writes "This Friday morning will be the grand opening of the new Gander Mountain outdoor retail store on the 132 acre retail project. It is right across from the new Home Depot store that has been open for several weeks. I'm sure there will be a big crowd for the grand opening of this new flagship store for Corsicana, Texas.
