randyglenh writes "In the near future, Gun Barrel, Texas on Cedar Creek Lake will see a new Bennigans, Golden Corral restaurant, La Quinta Motel, and in the works is an eight screen cinema from Oklahoma called Select Cinemas. That is very good news for the Cedar Creek Lake area. I see more good news for that area."

randallh writes "In the future in Bellmead, Texas, which is in the Waco city limits, there will be a new Home Depot store in at the corner of Loop 340 and Interstate 35. It will employ 150 new people. It should be open by the New Year of 2006. That is good news for the area. Walmart has a Supercenter in that area also. Walmart's Sam's Club is over there too as well as a new HEB grocery store that opened not too long ago."

Anonymous writes "Up here in North Texas in the Lake Cities there will be a new Texas Land & Cattle Steakhouse restaurant that will open in the future on the west side of Interstate 35 not far from the current Chilis restaurant. That is very good news for a fast growing area. Best Western Motels also has plans to open in the future here in the Lake Cities area."

It seems city planning dropped the ball on this one. Cracker Barrel wanted to build their restaurant their way and Corsicana planning wanted a brick building. "

Anonymous writes "Dollar Nation, the new $1 store at 413 W. Royall (Hwy 31) Malakoff, next to Brookshires, opened on June 13th to the delight of shoppers in the Quad County area. The owners, Richard and Morgen Salas of Kerens report a huge interest from the surrounding communities for the clean, well stocked, fun store.
Dollar Nation carries a wide variety of quality items including fishing gear, jewelry, baby items, toys, party supplies, gifts and gift bags, stationary, greeting cards, hardware, balloons, school supplies, dishes/kitchen and bath items and so much more!
The Salas' have announced their Grand Opening celebration scheduled for July 15-16. "Come out to help us celebrate!" invites Salas. "Be sure to register for our hourly door prizes on Friday. On Saturday customers will receive 10 cents for every dollar toward additional purchases and kids under 12 will receive a free latex balloon with purchase.""

Also this will mean more new jobs for the Corsicana and Navarro County area. Corsicana is a great place to start a new business. Hopefully Corsicana will see a new upgraded Cinema with stadium seating."

That is the local weather channel in times of severe weather in our area. Or you can go to the local Radio Shack store on West Seventh and buy a weatherband radio. They come in handy in times of severe storms in our area."

randallh writes "There will be two new gated home communities in Corsicana. One will be on the Country Club Road, the other near Collins Middle School and North 26th Street. The one on Dobbins road will be called Dobbins Road Crossing. It will be a gated community as well with a jogging trail and gazebo and I'm sure a community pool. More new homes hopefully will bring new jobs to the Corsicana - Navarro County area ."
