Rickey W. Flynn was born on December 9, 1950 in Kerens, TX to Steven L. and Lillie (Keele) Flynn. He worked as a body and fender man in the auto body repair industry.

Pallbearers were the Class of 1946 teammates, Lynn Holloway, Glynn Holloway, Richard Jennings, Royce Hassel and Frank Westbrook. Burial followed at the Kerens Cemetery.

.Doris Evelyn York was born July 20, 1944, in Paris, Texas, to Arthur Johnny and Evelyn Murrel Powers Deola. She moved to Corsicana,Texas with her husband, Tom Ovalle, in 1964 when she was 20 years old. In later years, she divorced Mr. Ovalle and married Bobby York of Corsicana,Texas. Bobby and Doris have been together for 20 years. She went to work at Falcon Business Forms in 1980.

She married William Hamilton Thompson on August 6, 1941 in Fairfield, Texas and together they had four daughters. Marion was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist Faith.

Ludie Mae Hanna, 88, of Cuthand, Texas, passed away on January 4th, 2006 in the Clarksville Nursing Center. Funeral services were held on January 7th at the Cuthand Methodist Church with the Reverend John Purviance officiating. Burial was at the Cuthand Cemetery.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Hughie L. Hanna, who passed away on January 23rd, 1985.
She is survived by her four daughters, Melba Keele and husband Jimmie of Kerens, Texas; Patricia Rieger and husband Dale of Calhoun, Louisiana; Doris Alsup and husband Jimmy "Cowboy"; Dolores Cheatwood and husband, Gary, all of Cuthand, Texas; one brother, Claudie Alsup; ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Foy Brown, 88, of Kerens, Texas passed away on January 17th, 2006 at the Cedar Lake Nursing Home in Malakoff, Texas. Funeral services were held January 20th at the Paschal Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Frank Upchurch officiating and Reverend Wes Johnson assisting. Burial followed at the Prairie Point Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Homer Gene Wasson, Lawrence McBride, Jerry Crocker, Roy Gerald Tramel, Billy Tramel, and Kenneth Bailey. Honorary Pallbearers were Blair Watt, Jimmie Spencer, Roy Gene Brown, Tommy Spivey, B. H. Upchurch and Billy Ray Brown.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Headspeth; parents, W.M. and Martha Borden; four sisters and six brothers.

Billy D. Gorden, Sr., passed away on January 10th, 2006. Graveside services were held on January 13th, 2006 at Oakwood Cemetery in Corsicana, Texas with Brother Bill Honea officiating.
He was born on April 27th, 1926 in Blooming Grove, Texas. Billy was a precious man who was loved by all who knew him. Billy loved to be with his family and enjoyed camping and fishing with them. He joined the Marines on October 12th, 1943 serving as a heavy truck driver on the Pacific Island of Pelelius. He received numerous medals including the Purple Heart. He married Ruby Inez Odom on February 17th, 1945 and was a faithful husband for 60 years and a loving daddy. He was a lifetime member of the D.V.A. and the V.F.W.

Pallbearers were Loyd Cook, Johnny Hobbs, Bobby Boucher, Sammye Hobbs, Matthew Adams and Drew Walker.
She was born on September 28th, 1941 in Bazette, Texas to Samuel Loyd Colvin and Esterlee Aileen Lancaster Colvin. Mrs. Cook was a 1959 graduate of Kerens High School. She graduated valedictorian of her licensed vocational nurse’s class (1978) an d salutatorian of her registered nurse’s class (1983).

She was born December 2nd, 1940 in Kerens. Joyce was married to James Norris for 48 years. She spent most of her life in Trinidad where she raised her children and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He was born on December 9th, 1916 in Raliegh, Texas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked in the grocery industry for many years before retirement.
